This is no surprise as the state offers so much to the people who live there and those who visit. One of the biggest cities, Chicago, is the home to a large portion of the state. Home of the Bulls and Blackhawks, Chicago brings the great big city feeling to the entire state. Working in and around Chicago has several perks including a higher rate of pay. The rest of the state is no slouch in this department either. The overall hometown feeling that is felt outside of Chicago makes the area very desirable for those looking for a new home. Moving into Illinois is a great idea, especially now. The times are changing and the time is certainly right to make the move.
As a rule, Illinois stays steady in the economy department. Even in post 9/11 crisis that the entire country seemed to go through, Illinois stayed on the straight and level. This has kept the entire state in perpetual bliss as the people continue to enjoy the upswing that has kept everything running the straight and narrow.
As for the unemployment rate it has stayed lower than the national average for quite some time. Even in the larger cities, there is more than enough work to go around. This has kept the entire workforce of the state strong.
The hourly wage across Illinois is stronger than in most states. This is due to the extreme amounts of industry that constantly move into the state throughout the year. This has moved to keep the amount of new jobs on the rise all year long and the hourly wage constantly rises as well.
For those interested in possibly moving to Illinois the time is now. There is a strong buyers market throughout the state.
