There is nothing to not like about Kansas. Over all it is considered to be one of the most attractive in the entire country and that includes the people. There is nothing that people do not like about the state that is Kansas. The schools around the state are of the finest quality and more people come in every year to attend one of the fine colleges. There is a rich history that is involved in the entire state of Kansas and the people are not shy about talking about it either. You can spend vast amounts of time browsing through the many museums and history centers that are sprinkled all over the landscape. The culture is abound in the state as well. People in the state are known to be friendly and more than willing to help out the tourists. Tourism is big business in Kansas as there are more than enough attractions to keep even the largest family busy for weeks on end.

The cost of living in Kansas is nominal to other states of similar size. Automobiles tend to be a little more expensive even though few are sure why this is. Most find the cost of living to be more than doable and the rents across the state have stayed in line with the rest of the surrounding area.

Unemployment is the least of the worries for the residents of Kansas as the rate for the state is low and completely destroys the national average which is still rather high. There has been enough industry moving into Kansas that the jobs just keep coming.

As for looking for a new home, the times could be a little tough. Increased interest rates have made the amount of new homes being built to drop way down. The interest rates have caused a definite drop in the construction field.

Existing homes are a little easier to find but it is a sellers market for certain. There is nothing to be gained in waiting since the homes are in short supply. You may find yourself paying a lot more than you would expect in similar markets.
