One can expect to pay a premium for land or housing in the Tennessee area. The market is geared towards the seller as it has been over the past few years. As the demand for property rises so does the price and the supply is not keeping pace.
The cost of living is high compared to other states in the area. Sadly enough the hourly wage is not keeping pace with the cost of living and it is making it more difficult to purchase some of the larger properties that are on the market.
There is a sense of living that is found in Tennessee that is not seen in other states. The communities are tight knit and many families live in the same area for their entire lives. Several generations can be found in certain areas as they have no desire to move from the scenic places that they call home.
