Even though it is considered to be a highly religious in nature, Utah is a great state to live in. Besides the natural beauty of the state, it is also host to some of the biggest industries in the nation and the job market is wonderful all over. Being so close to major areas like Las Vegas has only helped Utah in the long run. Many people do not mind the commute between Vegas for work and Utah for home. Other cities in Nevada find that Utah offers so much more that they have no choice but to cross the border for their shopping and medical needs. This has helped the economy of Utah many times over. They have built a reputation as one of the nicest states as well as cleanest states in the nation. Anyone who visits understands why it is looked upon in this manner and they find that spending a lot of time there is pleasant for themselves and their families as well.
The cost of living is a little high in Utah but it does not seem to bother the residents in the slightest. The morale runs high across the state and the cost of living is not a factor for most who live there. The state is full of life long residents who have no desire to move. The foundation that the state was built on is firmly set and has yet to be shaken even amid the crisis that has gripped the country in recent years.
The real estate market is favorable to those who wish to move in. Even though the new construction is not what it once was, there is still plenty of opportunity to purchase a fine new home at a reasonable price. The price does tend to get higher the closer to Nevada that you get but that is normal with all the activity that goes on in that part of the state.
For existing homes the market is strong and steady. The supply is in stride with the demand and few people have trouble finding a home that is in their price range within a reasonable amount of time.
